NTX Giving Day

This year the Friends of the Irving Public Library will dedicate all funds raised during North Texas Giving Day to help support the 2024 North Texas Teen Book Festival. NTTBF is a celebration of teen reading and Young Adult literature featuring approximately 70 bestselling and debut authors that reaches over 12,000 people annually. Over 60 percent of attendees are teenagers. Everyone who witnesses this event first-hand is amazed at how excited teens can become over books and meeting authors. These teens are future business pioneers, teachers and civic leaders. Providing adequate funding for initiatives that nurture academic growth in young adults is critical, not just to those individuals, but for the overall health of the community. So please consider giving this year to make it the best yet.

North Texas Giving Day (NTGD) officially takes place on Sept. 21, but donors can access the website now and begin making donations. Visit https://www.northtexasgivingday.org/organization/friendsofirvinglibrary to donate. North Texas Giving Day makes giving fun and more profitable by allowing organizations to compete for Bonus Funds on Sept. 21. So, visit the website often to strategize those donations on North Texas Giving Day.

Can’t afford to give? Help out in other ways by spreading the word, continuing to donate gently used books to Irving Library locations, attending library events and becoming a card holding member or renewing your library membership if it has lapsed.
